I have spent the better part of my life searching for the business holy grail leading to self-reliance. I began my quest for the prize at the tender age of six where my first stab at financial independence was collecting grocery store coupons from newspapers and mailers and then selling them to the neighbors; at face value! (Ahhh… the unrestrained mind of a little boy!) Most bought in. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to get people I knew to buy my stuff. In my early years, I made enough candy money to never ask my parents for an allowance. I caught the entrepreneur bug as a child and since then, I have never looked back.
As I grew older, (and less cute), I realized that business was more complicated and required more knowledge and experience. I also became more aware that ways of making money are always in a state of flux; coming to the understanding that businesses and fads come and go and so do money making techniques. With years of testing, trying and crying; enduring fickle prosperity to poverty business cycles, I am positive that millions of people, like I have done, go through the same kind of periods of financial uncertainty. Entrepreneurs are well familiar with these cycles and more people in employment are beginning to feel uneasiness in the workplace as the economy twists and turns.
I have tested and tried virtually hundreds of businesses and money making ventures. Some have worked. Most have not. Undaunted, today, I continue on a path of experimentation; looking for businesses, products and services that make money in today’s marketplace. Because of the years under my belt in this field of endeavor, I now see myself as a qualified expert to investigate, test and report my findings on business opportunities that work and those that don’t. Hence, I have created Dave Salcido’s Money Making Lab.
The reason for creating the lab is twofold. Selfishly, if an experiment works, I find myself a recipient of the fruits of that lab test. Wealth and prosperity become a byproduct of the experiment. Secondly, true success can be reported to and shared with my network of family and friends. How cool would that be? While it is true that new millionaires are born every day, the lab must reveal how it is happening in today’s economy. Additionally, the lab experiments must answer the following: Are there any shortcuts? Can the common man duplicate the process? What is the learning curve? What is the cost for success?
Dave Salcido’s Money Making Lab will experiment, gather facts and then report the results.
